The Technical Design Authority

This role leads customer solution delivery as the primary technical lead and customer contact for solution-related inquiries, ensuring alignment with needs and objectives within the Connectivity Business Unit.

Expertise in SDWAN (Fortinet or Meraki), BGP (Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper), firewalling (Fortinet, Cisco), LAN/WAN (Cisco, Juniper), WiFi solutions, and Zero Trust Access is crucial, with a commitment to staying updated on advancements to enhance solutions.

Responsibilities include reviewing RFPs from Pre-Sales, providing technical support to finalise deals, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Effective resource allocation and addressing any misalignment in time or budget planning are also essential.

A self-starter with a positive attitude will engage in technical discussions, make sound decisions, and guide the delivery of appropriate solutions, balancing technical and business needs, offering tactical or strategic direction to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality customer solutions by thoroughly understanding requirements before engagement, capturing scope changes, and ensuring associated commercial elements are addressed. Optimize resource utilisation by assigning the right staff to tasks, managing time effectively, and aligning efforts with project timelines and budgets.

Maintain up-to-date documentation and ensure a smooth handover to Operations with accurate materials and necessary training or support.

  • CCNP Desirable
  • Fortinet Certified Professional Desirable
  • Fortinet SD-WAN Professional Desirable
  • 10 years in a customer delivery role Desirable
  • 5 years in a senior architecture role Essential
  • 5 years with Fortinet appliances Essential
  • 3 years with SDWAN (Fortinet or Meraki) Desirable
  • Strong vendor management skills Essential
  • Good knowledge of network design use cases within hyperscalers Essential
  • Experience with ITSM systems and automating service desk processes Essential
  • Strong resource management Desirable
  • Experience in building teams and assessing candidates during interviews Desirable

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is £80,000 - £110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
