Principal Estimator

We are seeking a seasoned Principal Estimator to lead our project estimation team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost control and estimation principles, with the ability to analyze project specifications and requirements effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project plans and specifications to understand the scope of work.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on material costs and industry trends.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing information.
• Monitor project budgets and assist in cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid documents and presenting estimates to clients.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all estimating activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Estimator in a relevant field.
• Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices.
• Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is advantageous but not essential.
