Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Hoare Lea, a leading consulting engineering firm. As an Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and delivering innovative electrical design solutions for our clients.

About the Role

  • Work on a diverse portfolio of projects across various sectors, including Healthcare, Higher Education, Science & Research, Workplace, Advanced Manufacturing, Aviation, and Heritage.
  • Support the development of initial electrical concepts through to the delivery of detailed designs and specifications.
  • Conduct site surveys and investigations, and see your designs become a reality.
  • Contribute to the development of new and innovative ways of working, with a strong emphasis on digital skills.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and systems, ensuring we provide the best solutions for our clients.
  • Maintain a high reputation within the industry through adherence to our Integrated Management System.
  • Support Community Benefit initiatives, such as STEM activities.
  • Develop an awareness of construction procurement routes, project management skills, and financial acumen.
  • Actively maintain your CPD records.

What We're Looking For

  • A collaborative, creative, and driven individual who is willing to learn, develop, and contribute to a dynamic engineering team and the projects we work on.
  • A clear understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process.
  • Previous consultancy experience, with an appreciation of complementary specialisms such as acoustics, fire engineering, and computer modeling in the design of buildings.
  • Working towards or achieved Chartered Engineer status.
  • The courage to innovate and develop new ways of working.
  • An autonomous approach, with the ability to lead small projects/tasks and take a brief from the project lead on medium to large-scale projects and deliver and control the tasks required under minimal supervision.
  • Ownership of the quality of our outputs.
  • An appreciation of client needs, with the ability to be client and project team-facing.
  • The ability to balance time, cost, and quality of own work.
  • The ability to form working relationships within and outside of the immediate team.
  • A professional, personable, and competent manner.
