Senior Inorganic Chemist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Inorganic Chemist to join our contract analytical laboratory in Kent. As a key member of our inorganics department, you will be responsible for managing a small team of junior scientists and supporting the Team Leader/Lab Manager with laboratory coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a small team of junior scientists, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support the Team Leader/Lab Manager with coordination of laboratory activities, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective communication.
  • Prepare laboratory samples and reagents, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Requirements:
  • Existing UK work eligibility.
  • BSc/MSc or equivalent work experience in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Prior industry experience with analytical techniques, including GC-MS, GC, HPLC, and LC-MS.
  • Prior experience supervising/training junior staff members.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with ion chromatography and/or combustion chemistry.
