We are currently recruiting for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our private Quantity Surveying Consultancy based in Poole. The successful candidate will be either a keen school leaver with a strong interest in Quantity Surveying and Construction looking to build a career as a Quantity Surveyor, or an individual looking to progress within the industry.

The role will involve training and shadowing, as well as acting as a support member to the wider team. This will allow the successful QS to gain a broad range of experience and skills, including the preparation of estimates and cost plans, and the development of programmes for delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure works are valued and payment obtained in accordance with the contract terms
  • Assist with the preparation of estimates and cost plans and in the development of programmes for delivery
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety Requirements

The successful QS will have the opportunity to work in a variety of fields, not just one sector, and will be required to travel. This will include working with local commercial clients, such as Breweries, as well as marine work with the RNLI.

The role itself will involve a high level of autonomy, with the successful QS working independently to complete tasks and projects. This will require strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work well under pressure.

  • Based near Poole and willing to travel further afield for work
  • Full driving license
