Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced educator to fill the role of Year 5 Class Teacher in a vibrant primary school in Hackney. As a member of our dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in preparing students for their transition into year 6 and ultimately their transition into a secondary environment.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in Key Stage 2. Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment requirements is also essential. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment are key requirements for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality and engaging lessons across the Year 5 curriculum, including English, Mathematics, Science, and more.
  • Prepare students for key assessments, including SATs, providing effective support and guidance.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and fosters a love for learning.
  • Provide guidance and pastoral support to students, helping them navigate the challenges of their final year in primary school.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure students receive comprehensive support and guidance.

Requirements
