Job Overview

The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner, adhering to professional codes of conduct and ethics, managing a varied and highly specialist paediatric caseload. The caseload will include children with complex and co-morbid needs, specializing in the assessment and intervention of sensory processing issues and their relation to educational, behavioural, or social/emotional concerns.

The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day design and delivery of assessments and interventions, working consultatively with other professional groups, both intra- and inter-disciplinary, and across health and Local Authority services.

Clinical activities will primarily take place in special school settings.

Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will provide ongoing training for school-based staff, parents, and families. The post holder will support the learning and development of others, including colleagues.

The post holder will contribute to the design and development within the wider team and contribute specialist skills to service developments within the organization. This will include attending meetings and leading in audit, evidence-based practice, research, and service evaluation.

The post holder will be involved in the ALN process and contribute to the development of Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
