We are seeking an experienced Stores Person to join our team at Holt Engineering. As a key member of our stores team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and inventory management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all parts are stored or issued in the correct way to avoid damage.
- Picking and kitting of inventory items.
- Maintaining accurate records on computer systems and completing paperwork efficiently.
- Moving materials and equipment within the warehouse.
- Reporting any discrepancies or issues with inventory or equipment.
- Keeping the work environment tidy, clean, and organized.
- Following all health and safety procedures and guidelines.
- Operating a forklift to move materials and unload deliveries.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or stores environment, preferably in an engineering company.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- PC literacy and ability to maintain records accurately.
- High level of numeracy skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Counterbalance forklift license is beneficial.
