Part-time Health Research Expert

We invite applications for a Part-time Health Research Expert position within our Biostatistics Research Group at Newcastle University.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with experts, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in health statistics. You will be responsible for developing and applying innovative biostatistical methods, analyzing observational data, and communicating complex results to stakeholders.
Salary Information
The estimated salary for this role is £34,866 - £45,163 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including generous holiday time, pension schemes, and opportunities for professional development.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and applying innovative biostatistical methods for analyzing observational data and clinical trials;
- Collaborating with researchers to design and analyze studies, utilizing state-of-the-art statistical techniques;
- Communicating complex results to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and publications;
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Statistics or a related field, or equivalent experience;
- Advanced skills in statistical programming languages, such as R or Python;
- Experience working with large datasets and applying machine learning techniques;
