About the Role

Astute's Power team has partnered with a leading energy provider to recruit a Power Generation Specialist for their Energy from Waste facility in Gloucester. This crucial role comes with a salary of £52,143 + benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform operational duties on the main boiler, FGT plant and turbine using DCS.
  2. Carry out routine testing of plant equipment and inspections when required, recording data accurately and efficiently.
  3. Monitor performance of plant and ensure optimal performance.
  4. Monitor security systems and CCTV on site.
  5. Provide clear and comprehensive shift handovers.
  6. Undergo training and development competence in line with on site safety rules.

Requirements
  • Similar operational experience in Energy from Waste or other power sector.
  • Experience with SCADA as a minimum, DCS highly sought after.
  • Royal Navy/Marine Engineer applications welcome.
  • Level 3 in relevant engineering subject as a minimum.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to work a shift pattern.
