AWE plc is currently recruiting for a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join our team.

About the Job

The Health, Safety and Environmental Manager will be responsible for task managing a multidiscipline team to achieve excellent performance in environment, safety and health throughout the area.

Some Key Responsibilities

  • Establish HSE service schedules and deliver required services to time and cost by monitoring performance against the schedule.
  • Task manage a multidiscipline team and utilise staff across the business.
  • Interface with Technical Leads/Line Managers of HSE Staff and be involved in development and objective setting activities.
  • Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality.

Requirements

  • Degree or vocational qualification in a relevant field or equivalent/NEBOSH.
  • Good understanding of all HSE disciplines and current HSE management system standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, HSG65 and BS OHAS 18001.
  • Understanding of current HSE legislation, standards and guidance relevant to the role.
  • Able to anticipate problems and develop innovative solutions.
