The Role

The successful Private Client Solicitor will work closely with colleagues to deliver expert advice on a wide range of private client matters. You will be responsible for creating domestic and offshore trusts, asset protection, and preparing Wills and inheritance planning for UK-based and international clients. This role also includes providing estate-related tax advice, handling the administration of estates with assets across multiple jurisdictions, and managing cases involving international conflicts of law.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of post-qualification experience in trust and estate planning.
  • A solid background in creating domestic and offshore trusts.
  • Expertise in asset protection, particularly in relation to care home fees, divorce, and bankruptcy.
  • Strong knowledge of UK and international tax planning, inheritance issues, and the preparation of Wills.
  • Experience in dealing with complex estate administration, including cases with assets in multiple jurisdictions.
  • A thorough understanding of Lasting Powers of Attorney and issues surrounding mental capacity.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
