Laundry Valet Role Overview
The Laundry Valet is a key member of the Rooms Department at Raffles London at The OWO, responsible for maintaining and repairing colleague uniforms to the highest standards. This role involves providing a distinctive, high standard of workmanship when assisting with guest alteration works, as well as ensuring the smooth running of the laundry operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and repair staff uniform when necessary, reporting any issues or concerns to the Laundry Manager.
- Ensure all equipment is well maintained and in proper working order, reporting any malfunctions or defects to the Laundry Manager.
- Keep the uniform area clean and tidy, maintaining stock levels of seamstress utilities.
- Monitor the quality of returned guest garments, uniform, and chef wear from outside contractors.
- Be flexible and adaptable, pressing guest garments and staff uniform as directed by the Laundry Manager.
- Follow the Lost Property procedure.
