Job Title: Part Time Accountant

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Part Time Accountant to join a reputable firm of chartered accountants in Maidstone. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and tax compliance, with a strong understanding of financial software such as Iris and Xero.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Prepare corporate and income tax computations.
  • Perform general bookkeeping and prepare VAT returns.
  • Liaise with clients as necessary.
  • Opportunity to get involved in other areas such as CIS payroll and making tax digital.
Requirements:
  • Studying AAT or AAT qualified or qualified by experience with some experience within practice.
  • Experience in Iris and Xero would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite.
  • Full-time or part-time candidates will be considered.
Benefits:
  • FTE dependent on experience and background negotiable.
  • Part-time circa 3 days a week.
  • 20 days annual leave bank holidays.
  • Free parking.

As a Part Time Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of accounts, tax computations, and VAT returns. You will also have the opportunity to get involved in other areas such as CIS payroll and making tax digital.
