About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Extended School Coordinator to support the management of our before and after school clubs and coordinate our lunchtime sessions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee all lunchtime staff, ensuring effective planning and organisation across all areas.
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities suitable for children aged 3-11 years old, supporting the management of our extended school team.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, adhering to school policies and staff code of conduct.
Lunchtime Management
  • Establish supportive relationships with the lunchtime and catering team.
  • Manage lunchtime timetables alongside the SBM.
  • Liaise with class teachers, leaders, and SLT to ensure staff awareness of individual pupil needs.
  • Ensure pupils' welfare and food needs are met during each lunchtime.
  • Engage pupils effectively and support their development during lunchtime.
  • Take rapid action to provide support when difficulties arise.
  • Follow procedures for child protection, safeguarding, health, and safety, as well as confidentiality.
After School Club Responsibilities
  • Prepare fun and nutritious snacks for children.
  • Purchase toys and equipment within agreed budget and maintain financial records.
  • Handle and resolve parent complaints efficiently.
  • Produce termly reports.
  • Ensure safe collection and transportation of children between classes and the club.
  • Manage and lead after-school club staff.
  • Deliver creative play opportunities in a safe environment.
  • Administer the club, maintaining relevant records, and implementing agreed procedures.
About You

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual who can demonstrate excellent organisational skills, a strong commitment to safeguarding, and the ability to work effectively with staff and children. You should have a suitable childcare qualification, such as NVQ level 3 or above in childcare, playwork, or equivalent.

The estimated salary for this role is £26,873 - £29,777 per annum, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
