About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our Food Materials team at Mondelēz International. As a key member of our research organization, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and delivering breakthrough technologies in the area of materials science research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical direction and coaching within the Ingredient Research Innovation Space (IRIS), ensuring the highest standards of work and H&S are maintained.
  • Plan and execute projects cross-category in the area of materials science to manipulate/improve final product properties/ingredient functionality.
  • Lead the formulation and communication of hypotheses to stakeholders, design experimental plans, conduct appropriate testing, gather and analyze data.
  • Interpret data, findings, and results, and present status updates to project leaders and stakeholders.
  • Organize and plan lab and pilot-scale trials, demonstrating good organizational skills and engagement with relevant analytical coordinators/lab managers.
  • Structure data, findings, or results in technical memos and present status updates to project managers/stakeholders up to VP level.
  • Take responsibility for elements of specific projects and/or specific areas of general IRIS/sample administration and assigned housekeeping tasks as required.
Requirements
  • PhD in Food Science, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in materials science research, with a strong understanding of soft matter physics and the behavior of biologically derived materials.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to plan and execute projects efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
