About the Role

We are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join our dynamic primary school in Nottinghamshire. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will support the class teacher and lead small group sessions to deliver engaging lessons.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Support teaching and learning by assisting in lesson planning and delivery.
  • Implement targeted intervention programs to support pupils with specific learning needs.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Manage classroom activities in the absence of the teacher, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to keep them informed about their child's progress.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, with extensive experience in a primary school setting.
  • Proven experience working as a teaching assistant, with a strong track record of supporting pupils' learning and development.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for working with young children and a commitment to their educational development.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic school environment.
