Engineering Technician Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Technician to join our team in Bristol. As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for operating various machinery, reading and interpreting engineering drawings, and managing your workload.

Salary and Benefits:
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £30,420 per annum, paid at £15.00 per hour. The role also comes with a range of benefits, including 25 days holiday + bank holidays, free parking, and a pension scheme.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operating an XYZ Turning machine with Proturn controls
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Managing your own workload with jobs allocated from the machining supervisor
- Machining precision engineering parts producing small batches and one off's to fine tolerances but not normally aerospace

Requirements:
- Experience in producing machined parts from engineering drawings
- Strong manual turning skills may be beneficial, though not essential
- A background in engineering or time-served experience as a skilled machinist would be advantageous

About the Role:
This is a permanent position working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible start and finish times. The location is in Bristol BS16.
