Thames Water Utilities Maintenance Specialist

We are looking for a Mechanical and Electrical Technician to join our team at Thames Water Utilities Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out scheduled, planned, and reactive maintenance work on mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure optimal plant performance.
About the Role: The successful candidate will have experience working in multi-discipline teams and possess an NVQ or C&G level 3 in mechanical and electrical qualification. They will also have a valid driving license and physical fitness for manual handling and demanding roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate plant failures and carry out repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible to avoid interruptions to the process.
- Carry out scheduled planned maintenance work on electrical equipment to minimize plant breakdowns.
- Provide technical advice to the wider team and refer to up-to-date technical knowledge.
- Use technical equipment such as pumps, 3-phase motors, electronic control systems, and chemical handling equipment.
Salary and Benefits:
- Competitive salary up to £39,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
- 24 days holiday per year increasing to 28 days with length of service (plus bank holidays).
