Job Title: Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant

GSL Education is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join one of our client primary schools in Sheffield. As a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the education and development of children aged 7-11 years.

Job Summary:
  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning, provide additional explanations, and assist with tasks.
  • Support the teacher in maintaining a positive learning environment, managing behavior, and ensuring classroom routines are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the classroom teacher in preparing and delivering lessons that are engaging and accessible for all students.
  • Work with students in small groups or one-on-one to reinforce learning, provide additional explanations, and assist with tasks.
  • Support the teacher in maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide additional support where needed to ensure students meet their learning goals.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Prior experience working with children in an educational setting is highly valued.
  • A good standard of education, typically including GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Math.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for education and helping children succeed.
