Tool Maker (Maintenance) Job Description

Carbon60 is partnering with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit a Tool Maker (Maintenance) for the Production area. This permanent role has become available due to continued growth and expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manufacture, service, and repair tools, assembly jigs, and fixtures.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and advise on tooling design and manufacture.
  • Maintain and repair existing production tools.
Requirements:
  • Toolroom experience is preferred, but good all-rounded experience in a workshop environment is essential.
  • A good working knowledge of mathematics and workshop practice to at least City and Guilds Engineering standard.
  • Working knowledge of welding (Gas, Mig, Tig, and Stick) is desirable.
  • Disciplines in the use of CNC machinery, lathes, grinding, milling, and toolroom machinery.
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
