About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety and Environment Advisor to join our team at The Compleat Food Group. As a key member of our SHE team, you will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of our site SHE management system and ensuring the health, safety and well-being of our employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the reduction of Health, Safety and Environmental risks and hazards across the site
  • Support the site to achieve legal compliance
  • Deliver appropriate H&S training
  • Undertake workplace inspections and audits
  • Offer general health and safety advice across the site
  • Implement TCFG Health, Safety and Environmental management system
  • Comply with reporting and escalation requirements
  • Support the management of contractors and visitors
  • Implement group initiatives and campaigns
  • Support the site SHE Manager in deploying TCFG strategy and systems
  • Undertake risk assessment and risk management
  • Undertake and lead incident investigation and RCA
  • Keeping accurate records and good document control
  • Investigate working environments for unsafe practices and conditions
  • Update compliance documents for Health, Safety and Environmental matters
  • Report Health, Safety and Environmental violations to relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain and audit safety-critical procedures
  • Perform governance as required by the Health, Safety and Environmental management system
  • Maintain appropriate level of Health, Safety and Environmental competency
  • Deputise in the absence of the site Health, Safety and Environmental manager
  • Liaise with enforcing authorities as appropriate
Requirements
  • Level 3 H&S qualification
  • Level 6 H&S qualification and Environmental qualification
  • Good knowledge of specific work task (3 – 5 years in similar role)
  • Environmental experience and BS ISO OHSMS
