QC Welding Inspector

This is an exciting opportunity to join CV-Library as a QC Welding Inspector for the Hinkley Point C project. We require someone with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and advanced knowledge of welding procedures and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster strong working relationships with clients and production teams.
- Evaluate the quality of welding materials to ensure nuclear safety.
- Oversee the management and control of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
- Participate in ongoing improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of our services.
- Work closely with subcontractors and treatment works to inspect their sites and ensure they comply with contract specifications.
- Verify that incoming materials meet the required standards.
- Produce detailed reports following site visits and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure a safe and organized workspace.
- Undertake other responsibilities within the scope of the job.
- Comply with our health, safety, quality, and environmental policies.
Requirements:
- Certification in CSWIP 3.1 or higher.
- Essential qualifications include PCN Level 2 PT and PCN Level 2 Radiographic Interpretation.
- Ability to interpret ISO and engineering drawings.
- Expertise in welding procedures and processes.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications for creating reports, presentations, and end-of-install manufacturing documents.
- PCN Level 2 MT.
- PCN Level 2 UT.
Estimated Annual Salary: £44,800 (based on £32/hour basic rate, 1.4x OT, and accommodation allowance where applicable); Shift Pattern: 10 days on, 4 days off; 10-hour shifts (days only) in Bridgewater near Hinkley Point C, with occasional travel to Broughton.
