About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Smart Meter Engineer to join our team at Octopus Energy. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining smart meters in customers' homes, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain smart meters in customers' homes, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and addressing concerns related to smart metering and energy efficiency.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely and effective completion of installations and maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • MOCoPA - at least 1ph WC certification.
  • Gas Safe – CCN1/MET1 or CMA1/MET1 (or equivalent) certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Previous experience in domestic dual-fuel metering and smart meter installation.
  • The ability to use a handheld terminal and other technical equipment.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).
