Job Title: Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our team at Team Jobs - Commercial. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing financial operations, supporting strategic financial planning, and overseeing a team of Financial Assistants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise a team of Financial Assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
  • Prepare and deliver timely management accounts and key financial reports to the Finance Director.
  • Oversee the preparation of cash flow forecasting and assist with daily cash management.
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and ensure they are regularly updated.
  • Monitor and ensure accurate processing of sales and purchase ledgers, including reconciliation and resolution of any discrepancies.
  • Manage the credit control process to ensure timely collection of receivables.
  • Oversee the production of accurate bank reconciliations and general ledger accounts, with a view to ensuring variances are resolved, to provide the Financial Director with accurate financial information.
  • Support the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors.
  • Provide additional support to the Finance Director and team as required.
Requirements:
  • AAT qualified or equivalent accounting qualification.
  • At least five years of experience in an industry accounting role, preferably in a similar position.
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities, excellent attention to detail, and a high level of confidentiality and empathy.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with all team members of the business.
