Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Medical Content Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our scientific communications team, you will be responsible for developing compelling scientific content that resonates with audiences and drives results. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all scientific communications meet client objectives and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality scientific content for various external engagements, congress, and scientific communications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all scientific communications meet client objectives and brand standards
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the medical writing team
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to inform scientific communications decisions
  • Contribute to the full range of medical education/communication programs
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality scientific content, reviewing work by junior colleagues
  • Lead scientific discussions with clients and external experts, face-to-face and on calls
  • Contribute to scientific strategy to inform tactical planning of accounts, both internally and with clients
  • Help identify organic growth opportunities on accounts
  • Contribute to the scientific development of proposals and pitches
  • Line management, mentoring, coaching, and training

Requirements:

  • Solid experience in a Medical Writer capacity
  • Therapy area experience, project types, and audiences for which you have written (e.g., specialists, GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and patients)
  • Strong communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to adapt your approach according to the needs of clients and teams
  • Familiarity with organic growth and contributing to proposals and pitches
  • Ability to deliver events and large educational programs, and experience of digital projects
  • Deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the healthcare industry
