Job Title: Lead Electrical Engineer

As a key member of the Integral team, we are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in the effective inspection, operation, and maintenance of critical facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of engineers in the inspection, operation, and maintenance of critical facilities.
  • Ensure the conduct of personnel under your control is safe, professional, and conscientious.
  • Attend site meetings with clients and on behalf of clients as requested.
  • Drive a Safety-First culture throughout the team.
  • Issue PTW, ensuring compliance with method statements, risk assessments, and Integral Health & Safety procedures.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and support the account-based engineering team.
  • Operate all systems within the facility in a competent, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Making recommendations for improvement and providing concise technical reports when required.
  • Control all activities relating to the technical and efficient operation of installed building systems.
  • Prepare and support specialist vendor planned, reactive, and corrective works.
  • Ensure specialist vendor worksheets are signed off, quality of work inspected, and recommendations communicated.
  • Monitor progress to ensure compliance with expected outputs from your team.
  • Accurately complete Corrigo Work Orders, including time spent on tasks and clear details of works undertaken.
  • Contribute to engineering risk and report on critical systems availability daily.
  • Attend weekly team meetings and quarterly team meetings when scheduled.
  • Complete daily engineering reports, noting significant events or activities.
  • Control critical spares, maintaining site stock registers, and procuring spares from suppliers if required.
  • Compile critical incident and near-miss reporting and after-action reviews.
  • Ensure MEP planned maintenance is undertaken in line with OEM/SFG20/NGM requirements.
  • Escalate critical equipment operational issues immediately, in line with local site process.
  • Review service reports of specialist vendors, chasing recommendations and follow-up actions.
  • Review and prepare MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs, participating in relevant EOP scenario drills.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement of safe systems of work, ensuring compliance with HSE policy and procedures.
  • Escalate specialist vendor performance issues, detailing areas of performance concerns.
  • Maintain minimum levels of resourcing, supporting the arrangement of suitable cover or replacement.
  • Participate in site ONWH escalation and support of 24/7 operation.
  • Take ownership of areas under Integral control, ensuring they are brought up to and maintained to required show site standards.
  • Liaise with the supply chain when ordering M&E components for remedial/corrective works.
  • Proactively attend nominated training courses as identified by Integral management.
  • Drive a positive culture within the team regarding personal development and training.
  • Undertake site-specific technical assessments and general technical assessments at intervals defined by Integral/JLL/Cardinia Real Estate.
  • Coach new employees as part of the onboarding process for new starters.
  • Participate in engineering Quality Assurance process to validate standards of completed works.
  • Complete all responsibilities in line with the account-based MEP responsibilities matrix.
  • Alarm response and escalations for all critical alarms when on duty.
  • Effectively undertake mechanical reactive and corrective tasks on associated mechanical systems.
Personal Specification:
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in critical environments such as corporate banking/data centers or similar.
  • LV Authorized Person (experienced with LV systems).
  • Electrical/Mechanical Engineering HNC or HND (successfully completed apprenticeship in either).
  • C&G Pts. 1 & 2, equivalent or exceeds.
  • 17th Edition.
  • IEE: Wiring and Installation (ability to attain 18th Edition through additional training).
  • IOSH Working Safely (or NEBOSH equivalent).
  • IPAF (Combined).
  • L8 Awareness Training.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with all levels of staff/management/customers.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and direct a small team of engineers.
  • Enthusiasm and proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
  • Good IT and report-writing skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work under pressure while remaining calm, clear thinking, and able to deliver required services to the client within given time constraints.
  • Individuals who can demonstrate commitment and previous experience but not meet all required technical qualifications may be considered subject to Operations Directors approval.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to attend on and off-site training, which may require nights away from home due to the nature of specialist training such as Authorized Person Training.
  • A high level of initiative, with drive to continuously improve the operation.
  • A smart, presentable, professional appearance.
  • Ability to comprehend and act upon both verbal and written instructions.
  • Integrity, honesty, and punctuality are expected.
