About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Specialist Clinical Pharmacist to join our Acute Medicine team at Worcestershire Royal Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering, developing, and assessing the clinical pharmacy services within the Acute Medicine division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert pharmaceutical care, optimizing patient outcomes through evidence-based practice.
  • Support the multidisciplinary medical team with specialized knowledge in medicines management.
  • Lead and develop the clinical pharmacy services within the Acute Medicine division, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
  • Collaborate with senior clinical staff to innovate and enhance the delivery of pharmacy services, contributing to the hospital's vision of providing outstanding healthcare.
  • Conduct and participate in clinical audits and research projects, ensuring that the pharmacy services meet regulatory standards and drive improvements in patient care.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A masters degree in pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Significant experience in hospital pharmacy, with a focus on Acute Medicine or a similar clinical area.
  • Accreditation as an Independent Prescriber (or willingness to obtain this qualification).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
