We are a dynamic and growing company based in Edinburgh, at the forefront of imaging and light sensing solutions. We are seeking a skilled Sensor Characterisation Engineer to contribute to our cutting-edge electro-optical characterisation activities.

This role is essential to our development work and involves hands-on engagement with optical systems and experimental hardware setups. Alongside playing a key role in the development of optical systems and maintenance of optical bench setups.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical or Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field. They should also possess knowledge of semiconductor devices and silicon products, proficiency in programming (high-level language or scripting), and familiarity with the specification, setup, and alignment of free-space optics.

A solid understanding of optics and optical systems is also required, as well as excellent communication skills for team collaboration. This is primarily an on-site role within our lab facilities in Edinburgh, with hybrid work options available (1-2 days remote, depending on project requirements).

Salary Information
