Senior Dental Nurse Position

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced senior dental nurse to join our maxillofacial team as a clinical operations team lead dental. The ideal candidate will have significant oral surgery experience and be working towards or possess a post-qualification in dental nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a high level of autonomy, excellent communication skills, and professionalism in a busy multi-disciplinary team.
  • Support the dental nurse manager in ensuring safe staffing levels and providing support where needed.
  • Utilize post-qualification skills to support junior dental nurses in achieving post-qualifications and take an active role in student dental nurses' teaching and mentoring.
  • Contribute to quality and performance audits and demonstrate senior nurse attributes such as becoming a link accessor.

Developmental Role:

For those applicants working towards a post-qualification, this will be a developmental role, paid at the top of Band 4 until completion of their qualification, when they will move to Band 5.

Clinical and Communication Skills:

Communicate and coordinate effectively with clinicians, staff, professional bodies, and external agencies, demonstrating politeness, courtesy, and sensitivity when providing care for patients, relatives, and colleagues.
