Food Service Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Food Service Assistant at City of Oxford College. As a key member of our catering team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service to our staff and students.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with food preparation, adhering to healthy school guidelines and promoting balanced meals for everyone.
- Operate our barista-style coffee machine to serve drinks and provide excellent customer service.
- Clear, clean, and store food and beverage equipment, following safety protocols and guidelines.
- Label all food items in accordance with food safety regulations and follow allergen safety procedures.
- Support hospitality orders, including preparation, setup, and delivery/collection across the campus.
- Strong customer service experience, ideally gained within the hospitality sector.
- Food Hygiene Certification: You should hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or be willing to undertake the necessary training to obtain one.
- Food Service & Till Operation Experience: Previous hands-on experience in a food service environment, such as working as a café or till operator, will be critical.
- Catering Outlets and Coffee Shop Experience: Ideally, you will have previous work experience in catering outlets, coffee shops, or similar food service areas.
