We are seeking an experienced Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer to join our team, working for a nationally recognised energy company in conjunction with our client, a major utility provider.

About the Role:
You will be working for an industry leader in the metering and energy sector, known for its operational excellence and commitment to both customers and employees. With over 2,000 employees across the UK, this is a company that values, rewards, and recognises its staff with great opportunities, comprehensive benefits, and a generous pay scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate and advise customers on the use of their new Smart Meter
  • Exchange gas and electricity meters
  • Provide maintenance and repairs post-installation if required
  • Salary: £37,823 per annum (outside M25) / £40,974 per annum (inside M25)
  • Bonuses: Productivity, attendance, and safety bonuses
  • Additional Pay: £1,000 added to the basic salary for 3-phase installations
  • Van, fuel card, tools, PPE, and tablet provided for company use

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence (no more than 6 points)
  • Experience in installing dual fuel smart meters
  • Current and valid CCN1, CMA1, MET1, MOCOPA, or a relevant Smart Metering qualification

Working Hours:

  • Standard hours: 08:00-17:00 or 09:00-18:00 (Monday-Friday, depending on the area)
  • Standby hours: 11:00-20:00
  • On-call requirements: You may be called anytime until 08:00 the next day when on standby (approximately 1 in every 5 weeks, depending on location).

  • Seeboard Area 4: RH, BR, DA, GU, CR, KT, SM, TN
  • Southern Area 4: Slough – HP, LU, TW, UB, W, WD, SL
