Job Title: CNC Miller Programmer/Setter

Location: Birmingham

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Friday 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay Rate: £18 - £20 per hour (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer/Setter to join our team in Birmingham. As a CNC Miller Programmer/Setter, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machines to ensure lead times and delivery dates are met.

You will also be responsible for ensuring quality requirements and checks are carried out using appropriate measuring equipment, completing required paperwork/labels, and updating the manufacturing shop floor data collection system as necessary.

In addition, you will be required to carry out preventive maintenance on machines, work as part of a team, and ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the company's quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program, set, and operate CNC machines
  • Ensure quality requirements and checks are carried out using appropriate measuring equipment
  • Complete required paperwork/labels and update the manufacturing shop floor data collection system as necessary
  • Carry out preventive maintenance on machines
  • Work as part of a team
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the company's quality requirements
Requirements
  • 5 years' experience producing one-offs from engineering drawings
  • Strong working knowledge of Mazatrol Siemens and/or Heidenhain controls
  • Ability to use CAD
  • Quality Systems experience
  • Self-motivated and able to project manage the part from cradle to grave
