Job Description:
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our client, a reputable Interiors Refurbishment and Fit Out Contractor based in Sheffield. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing contract documents, cost estimates, and cost plans for projects valued up to £2 million. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual seeking to grow and expand in their estimating career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of contract documents, including tender documents and contract agreements
- Preparation of cost estimates and cost plans, including material ordering and procurement
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders
- Development and maintenance of relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
- Analysis of project data and identification of opportunities for cost savings
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation software, including CostX and Bluebeam
- Professional degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and stakeholders
- Full driving license and willingness to travel as required
