About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as Head of Financial Operations, responsible for driving productivity and enhancing the service offered to the business throughout the core finance function. You will work closely with the Group Financial Controller to develop a new team, rationalise and standardise processes, prepare monthly management accounts, and business partner with senior stakeholders.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the SSC Finance Team, including Management Accounts and Commercial Finance
  • Standardise and rationalise processes, ensuring they are documented and meet relevant financial control requirements
  • Prepare monthly management accounts using SAP systems, performing associated balance sheet reconciliations to ensure cost centre and GL posting accuracy
  • Provide P&L visibility to department budget holders, holding regular meetings to discuss variance analysis and financial planning
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities, working with relevant departments on modelling and business cases to support controlling business costs
  • Feed into group consolidation of actuals, budget, and forecast
  • Oversee the purchase order process across departments, ensuring associated training, policy, and approval matrix
  • Support the Group Financial Controller with ad-hoc duties as required
  • Continued development of finance staff
  • Assist in continuous improvements in month-end controls and improvement to a SOX level

Salary and Benefits

This role comes with a competitive salary, estimated at around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also benefit from a range of perks, including private healthcare, flexible working pattern, enhanced holidays, bonus scheme, and life assurance.
