Senior Quantity Surveyor Opportunity in Manchester

Job OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity to join a leading contractor as a Senior Quantity Surveyor and work on a high-profile £25 million steel frame warehouse project in Manchester. The position offers a largely remote working environment, with the expectation of attending the site in Manchester 1-2 days per week. Travel and accommodation will be fully covered.
Key Responsibilities:- Cost Management: Oversee cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the industrial build project, ensuring financial control and value engineering throughout.
- Contract Administration: Manage contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with terms, conditions, and variations.
- Site Attendance: Attend the Manchester site 1-2 days per week to conduct site visits, liaise with the project team, and ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
- Procurement: Lead procurement activities, including managing tender processes, preparing tender documentation, and evaluating bids.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports to senior management on project costs, progress, and potential risks.
- Risk Management: Identify potential financial risks and advise the team on mitigation strategies.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
