Strategic Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Business Development Manager to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving new business growth and expanding our presence in the commercial sector.
Estimated SalaryThe estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities with SME customers within a designated territory, building strong relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Acount Management: Manage a portfolio of circa 500 SME accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Sales Lead Generation: Respond to incoming enquiries, generate new business leads through self-initiated activities, and support new customer acquisition efforts.
- Proven Sales Track Record: A minimum of 5 years' experience in sales, with a proven track record of achievement in a similar role.
- Customer Relationship Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Operational Awareness: Understanding of the sales process from start to finish, with the ability to leverage resources and engage with operational departments to ensure high levels of customer service.
- Industry Expertise: Ideal experience in the security industry, with a deep understanding of market trends and customer needs.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, identifying opportunities for growth and developing effective plans to achieve business objectives.
