About Us:

SecAnim Ltd, part of SARIA Group, operates from multiple sites across the UK. Our Wrexham site requires a skilled and motivated Yard Assistant to join our team.

The Role:

This permanent, full-time position involves carrying out yard duties, supporting the operations team, and ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out yard duties including housekeeping of the yard, sheds, and car park.
  • Collecting and monitoring yard supplies (PPE, vehicle wash, yard wash etc.).
  • Ensuring adherence to COSHH and health and safety procedures/policies on site.
  • Supporting the loading and unloading of vehicles.
  • Participating in hide removal, brain stem sampling, and postmortem preparation.
  • Carrying out other tasks as required by Management.

Requirements:

  • Desirable: Previous experience in an abattoir, butchers or agricultural environment.
  • Essential: Self-motivation, ability to use initiative, full UK driving licence, and experience in manual handling/manual labour-driven work.

Compensation:

A competitive salary estimated to be around £22,500 per annum, depending on experience.
