About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Coding and Technology Teacher to join our team at GSL Education - Kent. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in preparing students for the digital age by teaching coding, computational thinking, and real-world applications.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, fostering a deep understanding of Computer Science. They will also encourage problem-solving and analytical thinking, monitor and assess student progress, and stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, fostering a deep understanding of Computer Science.
  • Encourage problem-solving and analytical thinking through teaching coding, computational thinking, and real-world applications.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, offering personalised feedback and interventions to help each learner reach their potential.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements and collaborate with colleagues to ensure a modern and relevant curriculum.
Requirements
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Computer Science or ICT.
  • Be a Passionate Technologist: Have a deep understanding of computing principles, programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or C++), and emerging technologies.
  • Be a Strong Communicator: Ability to break down complex concepts into accessible and engaging content.
  • Be a Team Player: Work collaboratively within a supportive department and contribute to the school's innovative ethos.
