Job Title: Audit Manager

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join a prestigious top 25 firm of chartered accountants in Steyning, Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity to manage client audit engagements across various sectors, including charities, independent schools, and owner-managed businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage audits of larger, complex clients, addressing intricate technical audit matters with the audit partner.
  • Apply risk focus, professional scepticism, and judgment to ensure efficient and robust audits.
  • Identify, research, and analyse accounting/audit issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Work closely with and provide proactive support to partners.
  • Manage and prioritise own work and assignments to meet deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Maintain audit quality standards in compliance with Audit Regulations and internal policies.
  • Commit to professional growth through training and experience opportunities.
  • Deliver excellent client service and build strong relationships with clients and third parties.
  • Support the growth and development of the Sussex office.
Requirements:
  • Qualified ACA or ACCA, or Finalist.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of relevant accountancy practice experience.
  • Significant client-facing audit experience, including group audits.
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge and auditing skills.
  • Proficiency in using audit and statutory accounts software.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, with at least intermediate Excel skills.
  • Highly personable with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish relationships at all levels.
  • Positive 'can do' attitude.
  • Must have own car and full driving license.
