Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Editor - Content Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the content of our books, from contract signature to delivery of print-ready files.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the content of our books, ensuring all titles meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with authors and other departments to ensure titles remain on schedule.
- Develop and implement content strategies to meet business objectives.
- Work closely with the Managing Editor to ensure the smooth production of books.
- Provide editorial guidance and support to authors and other team members.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Editor - Content Manager in a publishing company.
- Strong knowledge of the book production process.
- Excellent editing, proofreading, and attention to detail.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Good communication skills, with experience of liaising with authors and other departments.
- Familiarity with Adobe InDesign software.
