About the Role

We're seeking a Junior Content Creator to join our expanding content team, responsible for developing engaging copy across various marketing channels and touchpoints.

As a key member, you will work independently to answer briefs in the distinct Motorway tone of voice, adapting to both B2B dealer and B2C consumer audiences.

Your expertise will enable you to navigate SEO best practices and maintain high standards of spelling and grammar throughout web articles.

Creativity will be your driving force as you conceptualize compelling content, and you'll be open to exploring innovative ways to break through.

You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing solo work and collaboration with the design team to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to our Lead Content Creator, you will work on a variety of writing styles to match our seller and dealer audiences.
  • You will flex our brand tone of voice across multiple communication channels, including CRM, ad copy, and onsite content as required.
  • You'll receive clear briefs and respond with unique, compelling copy that enhances the experience of our customers, dealers, and partners.
  • A self-driven individual, you will write copy yourself and edit and hone copy created by others across the business.
  • Your content will adhere to best practices for CRM and SEO as required.
  • You will ensure your copy meets the highest standards – being accurate, well-researched, and incorporating customer insight. Quick turnarounds may be necessary, requiring an ability to deliver at pace.
  • You'll take feedback well and work to build an understanding of the messaging central to Motorway's commercial proposition.
  • You will actively continue to build your knowledge of the automotive industry and the used car market, taking advantage of in-house learning opportunities.
  • You'll guarantee robust customer and competitor awareness, ensuring Motorway remains relevant, distinct, and competitive in the market.

Requirements

  • Experience developing concepts and creating a range of copy, executed across various marketing channels and touchpoints, with demonstrable evidence of positive impact on engagement or SEO metrics.
  • Experience writing in a digitally-native brand voice.
  • Strong customer and commercial focus, driven to create value for our customers, brand, and business.
  • An understanding of copy trends and best practices, and the ability to think visually and write in a variety of styles and tones across different channels – including email campaigns, in-product marketing, SEO content, and more.
  • An excellent communicator and strong relationship builder, with an ability to simplify complexity and lead others.
  • An ability to respond to short-term requests as well as planned work, prioritizing your workload and managing briefs.
  • Enthusiasm to join a growing team collaborating with every department in the company.
  • Experience or interest in the car industry and working for a tech company is preferred but not essential.
