Family Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our team in Children's Social Care. As a Family Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering our vision for children and their families, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in partnership with Social Workers and multi-agency partners to identify children, young people, and their families who require additional support and direct work.
- Develop and implement effective support plans to achieve outcomes, maintain family connections, and support the assessment process.
- Provide guidance and support to families in crisis, using a comprehensive understanding of the challenges facing children and families.
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting children and families.
Requirements:
- Comprehensive understanding of the challenges facing children and families.
- Record of successful partnership working and direct work with children and their families.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to support families in crisis.
- Ability to work within our operational model, Signs of Safety, and participate in comprehensive training.
