Lenders Advisory Consultant

This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in general insurance for large industrial/commercial risks or a legal expert with expertise in PPP/PFI or infrastructure project financing.

The Role

  • As a member of the Lenders' Insurance Advisory Practice (LIAP) team, you will establish and maintain relationships with key project finance lenders in London and internationally.
  • You will prepare proposals in response to bid requests and negotiate terms of consultancy assignments.
  • Undertake insurance due diligence consultancy assignments in accordance with the agreed scope of work, which may involve:
  • Attending meetings with bankers, project sponsors, and legal advisers, as well as borrower's representatives and their advisers.
  • Researching technical aspects of insurance for specific projects and liaising with technical specialists within the Group.
  • Preparing insurance reports and providing written and verbal advice to lenders on the insurance aspects arising out of their loans.
  • Presenting to lenders and negotiating with the project company's placing brokers.
  • Ensuring that the services delivered to clients meet the working practices and standards set by the LIAP team in London.
  • Managing fee transactions.
