Project Worker Role

About the Role

Sanctuary Supported Living is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Project Worker to join our Homelessness Service team at Selwyn House in Dereham.

As a Project Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who have experienced homelessness to achieve their goals and maximize their independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized support to customers, encouraging them to reach their full potential and independence.
  • Assess customers' needs and develop tailored support plans to meet their unique requirements.
  • Act as a first point of contact for customer queries, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, respecting their autonomy, dignity, and personal choices.
  • Liaise with external support services to enhance customers' confidence, health, and wellbeing, and promote opportunities for education and employment.
  • Manage emergency situations with professionalism and composure.
  • Maintain accurate and high-quality records of customer interactions and progress.

Requirements

  • Experience working with adults who have experienced homelessness.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently, with a strong sense of initiative.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with functional literacy and numeracy.
  • Capacity to adapt quickly to changing priorities, while meeting deadlines and targets.
  • NVQ3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
