About the Role

The Data Consultant/Engineer will play a crucial role in our Implementation Services Department, working closely with customers to develop and maintain tooling that supports data migration and deployment. This includes setting up scheduled data export/import routines and collaborating with customers to optimize their use of Salesforce.com.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Maintenance of core tools for data extraction and validation using MsAccess.
  • Assistance to customers in understanding their legacy and target data models, recommending actions for effective migration.
  • Analysis of customer data, production of data quality reports, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Accurate data mapping between legacy and new schemas.
  • Testing and loading data sets into customer environments, ensuring data integrity and minimizing business impact.
  • Collaboration with customers to improve their use of Salesforce.com and provide feedback to product teams on data model adjustments.
  • Time management within project constraints.
  • Participation in project planning exercises, ensuring data considerations are fully addressed.
  • Configuration of inbound/outbound data integrations and support for related tickets.
  • Preparation of data mapping templates, containers, and ongoing documentation development.
  • Strong interest in working with data is essential.
  • Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously, meeting customer deadlines.
  • Quick adaptation to new situations, different business practices, and challenges of working in the public sector.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, prioritize, manage, and track concurrent activities to successful outcomes.
  • Experience with data modeling – working knowledge (or beyond) of data modeling techniques would be beneficial.
