About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Interim to support our client during a period of change. As Interim Deputy Finance Director, you will play a key role in leading and supporting the finance function, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on income accounting and negotiate insurance price uplifts
  • Report and provide written commentary on month-end performance to the Head of Finance
  • Support the Head of Finance in producing year-end statutory accounts and annual budgets
  • Lead on returns to the parent organisation
  • Create and maintain financial reports for non-financial parties
  • Review month-end reconciliations and highlight issues to the Head of Finance
  • Review aged debt
  • Support/train the Finance team
  • Ensure compliance with financial and industry regulations
  • Create forward-looking budgeting models and feed into the group budgeting process
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve company goals
  • Engage and support the Head of Finance with external partners, auditors, banks, and insurance companies
  • Lead on intercompany reconciliations
  • Undertake ad hoc project work

Requirements

  • Immediate availability
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification
  • Experience in managing, training, and mentoring a team
  • Personable and approachable candidate who enjoys this aspect of the role
  • Previous healthcare/NHS or similar industry experience desirable
