About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Inclusion and Learning Support Coordinator to join our team in a prison setting. This role involves working with tutors and staff to provide support to learners with neurodiverse and inclusion needs.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including learners, staff, and external agencies.

Responsibilities:

  1. To identify the neurodiverse and inclusion needs of individual prisoners through the screening process.
  2. Create Individual Learning Support Plans.
  3. Coordinate, deliver, and manage the allocation of support to those with a learning support plan.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • To hold or be willing to obtain a Level 3 qualification for Inclusion Support Coordinators within an agreed timescale.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with prison staff and learners who may have limited experience with education and training.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of learners with neurodiverse needs, including those with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and the SEND Code of Practice.
