We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and excellence through strategic sourcing and category management.
Key Responsibilities- Rationalise and develop the supplier base, incorporating UK, European, and International sourcing strategies to drive cost savings and improve quality.
- Plan and manage categories both tactically and strategically to meet organisational goals and objectives.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure procurement goals and targets are understood and met, and to drive collaboration and alignment across the business.
- Manage the end-to-end tender process, including RFI/RFP, to ensure alignment with business requirements and KPIs/SLAs.
- Lead contract negotiations and manage supplier relationships during the contracting process to drive value and improve supplier performance.
- Support continuous improvement processes within the procurement team and with stakeholders to drive process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide category-level commercial, contractual, and negotiation support across the business to drive business growth and excellence.
- Manage small to medium size projects and support negotiations for large and complex contracts to drive business success.
- Minimum of 5 years procurement experience with similar responsibilities and a strong track record of delivering business value.
- Experience in Contract Law and contract drafting, with a strong understanding of commercial and contractual principles.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and analytical skills, and the ability to establish and influence strong working relationships at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex procurement concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
