Business Development Lead

As a Commercial Lead, you will be responsible for driving commercial value and ensuring the successful delivery of projects in the UK's transition to a Net Zero future. Our client, a leading organisation in the Utilities industry, is seeking a talented individual to join their team.
The role involves identifying and monitoring critical commercial governance criteria for portfolio and programme governance, as well as acting as a panel commercial Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide insights and support decision-making. You will also develop and maintain commercial principles for various contracting models, implement proactive commercial assurance with critical supplier partners, and lead commercial compliance activity.
The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in contract management, an in-depth understanding of the energy sector or ancillary industries with high capex infrastructure, strong commercial acumen, and stakeholder management skills. A numerical degree or professional commercial qualification is also required.
We estimate the salary for this position to be £42,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
